There can be several reasons why the battery is on strike

Battery for electric bikes gets worn like everything else. Expect a battery lasts approx. 600-900 charges or 2-3 years depending on use and driving. As a battery nears the end of its life, performance will be continuously reduced.

If the battery is completely dead, it may be due to incorrect handling. Has it been stored properly? Has it been charged continuously?

Here are some tips on how to take good care of your battery for your electric bike:

It is important that you take your battery with you, when you are not using it, so that it does not stand out in the cold and rain. Even if you have your bike covered with a garage, the battery will be drained during the winter due to cold. And you will experience a dead battery in the spring.
Store the battery dry and at normal room temperature. Protect it from moisture and water as well as direct sunlight. Store horizontally and stably.
Even if you do not use your bike during the winter months, it is important to charge it, at least once every two months. It is protection against deep discharge, which damages the battery.
Pay attention to the temperature of the battery before inserting it into the charger. When entering from the outside, wait to charge until the battery reaches room temperature. When the battery is included for charging indoors, condensation can form on the outside and inside of the battery due to rapid heat difference. Charging must therefore not take place until the condensation water is gone. Inside the battery is a printed circuit board, which checks the individual battery cells. If charging occurs while there is still condensation in the battery, the printed circuit board may be damaged.
